Damn Donkey Accessibility Policy

Effective date: November 01, 2026

Policy owner: Damn Donkey Comics Inc.

Review cycle: annually

1. Commitment

Damn Donkey Comics Inc. ("Damn Donkey," "we" or "us") is committed to making its products and services accessible to people with disabilities. We seek to provide an inclusive experience throughout the customer journey, from browsing and creating an account to providing materials, reviewing proofs, placing an order and receiving customer support.

We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing process. We will identify and address barriers, consider individual accommodation requests and make improvements as reasonably practicable and required by law.

2. Scope

This policy applies to Damn Donkey’s customer-facing website, digital content, communications, customer support, and the personalized comic books, figures and related products and services we offer. We do not currently operate a mobile app. Physical premises or in-person services.

The policy guides employees and others acting on our behalf. We will communicate relevant accessibility expectations to service providers involved in the design, operation or delivery of our services.

3. Applicable requirements

Damn Donkey will comply with accessibility and disability-related laws applicable to its activities, including applicable United States federal, New York State and local requirements. Where we offer services to customers in other jurisdictions, we will also consider the accessibility and consumer protection requirements applicable there.

This policy does not limit any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

4. Digital accessibility

We aim to design and maintain our digital platforms with accessibility in mind. We will use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as a target for assessing and improving our customer-facing digital experiences, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Our accessibility work will include, as appropriate:

  • Supporting keyboard navigation and compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies.
  • Providing meaningful text alternatives for relevant non-text content.
  • Using clear headings, labels, instructions, link text and error messages.
  • Considering readable text, color contrast, scalable content and layouts that work across different screen sizes.
  • Providing captions or other appropriate alternatives for prerecorded audio and video content.
  • Reviewing accessibility when introducing or materially changing features.

Because our products involve visual storytelling and personalized artwork, some content may require an alternative way to understand or review it. Customers who encounter a barrier may contact us to discuss appropriate accommodation.

5. Accessible Ordering, proofs and products

We will seek to make the principal stages of an order accessible, including product selection, uploading customer materials, entering delivery and payment details, reviewing order information and requesting support.

Where a customer with a disability cannot use a standard feature, we will consider a reasonable alternative, such as assistance with placing an order, communicating instructions or reviewing proof. Depending on the circumstances, an alternative may include a text-based description, an accessible electronic format or another agreed method.

Customers may ask for additional time or assistance to review characters, story outlines or finished pages. We will consider the request and, where appropriate, adjust the review process or pause the applicable review period while a reported accessibility problem is addressed. If you ask for accessibility help during a review step, that step's clock pauses, and your order will not be treated as approved until we have responded.

We will consider requests relating to the accessibility of a physical product or its packaging. Availability may depend on the product, production process and the accommodation requested. We will explain any material limitations before the customer agrees to proceed.

6. Communications and Customer Support

Customers may contact us by email or telephone to request an accessible communication method, including assistance understanding order information, proofs, delivery updates, cancellation procedures or this policy.

We will consider requests for communications in an accessible format or through an alternative channel. We will seek to communicate clearly and allow customers a reasonable opportunity to explain their needs. We do not require a customer to use a particular communication channel if an effective alternative is reasonably available or required by law.

Where a request involves photographs, stories, personal details or other sensitive materials, we will handle the information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. We will request only information reasonably needed to understand and respond to the request.

7. Format

On request we may send the comic's story in a text, word or PDF format. Customers may contact us in advance to discuss this option.

8. Accommodation requests

To request accommodation, contact:

Email: support@damndonkeycomics.com

Telephone: +1 240-949-6747

Postal address: 169 Madison Av. STE 38346, New York, NY 10016 USA

Please describe the barrier, the part of the service or order involved, and any accommodation or communication method that would be helpful. An order number may help us locate an existing order, but it is not necessary to make an initial request.

We will acknowledge requests promptly, discuss the need with the customer where appropriate and assess available options considering the circumstances and applicable law. We will provide a response or an update within a reasonable time. If the requested measure is unavailable or is not appropriate, we will discuss any effective alternatives.

We will not ask for a diagnosis or medical documentation unless it is reasonably necessary and permitted by law.

9. Feedback and Complaints

We welcome feedback about accessibility barriers. Customers may use the contact details above to report a problem or make a complaint. Where possible, please identify the page, feature, communication or product involved and describe the difficulty encountered.

We will review complaints fairly, seek further information where needed and communicate the outcome or next steps. Where a barrier affects an active order, we will consider an interim alternative while investigating. Customers retain any right to pursue a complaint or remedy with a relevant authority or through another process available under law.

10. Responsibilities

The policy owner is responsible for coordinating implementation of this policy, reviewing accessibility feedback and arranging appropriate follow-up.

Employees and contractors whose work affects customer accessibility must follow applicable procedures and raise identified barriers with the policy owner. Relevant personnel, including those responsible for customer support, product design, development and order fulfilment, will receive accessibility guidance appropriate to their roles.

11. Service providers

We may use third-party providers for functions such as website hosting, payment processing, AI-assisted creation, printing and delivery. When selecting or reviewing providers whose services materially affect customer access, we will consider relevant accessibility capabilities and requirements.

We will work with providers to address reported barriers where reasonably practicable. The involvement of a provider does not remove obligations that apply to Damn Donkey under law.

12. Monitoring and review

We will review this policy at least annually and when material changes to our services, operations or applicable requirements, warrant review. Our review may take account of customer feedback, complaints, and relevant developments in accessibility standards.

We will prioritize identified barriers based on their impact, the number of customers affected, available alternatives and applicable legal requirements. Updated versions of this policy will be made available through our website or on request.
